Comfort Zones

Ahhh, as if on command, the weather has turned more temperate the last few days.  Still, it's not *quite* cool enough for me to prance around outside for long in this much desired 30s knit dress that I won after an epic ebay battle.  You know me and my knits.  I tried to resist, but this was one beauty I couldn't let get away.  Once it arrived, I thought: hey, the colours and stripes remind me of the Hogwart's school colours.   Magic!

I *love* this on you. Are you taking it to the Queen Mary?

I love it! It is very Gryffindoresque, but if you ask me, that's a good thing! (I've been dying to get a sweater just like the one Mrs. Weasley makes for Ron (with the big 'R' on it) and wear it around everywhere...)

Love your blog!

Such a great piece! Love the stripes on the sleeves.

I love it! And, yes, very Hogwarts. You could be a Gryffindor professor in the '30s, maybe?

Ah, YES, Gryffindore colours!! I knew there was a Harry Potter connection! hehe!

Thank you so much!

Fab: I think it's going to be too warm in CA for this beauty...also, it's a bit bulky so would take up too much room in my suitcase!! I can't wait to air the goodies I've got waiting in the wings for the QM! Hurrah!!

The shoes are from Dear Golden on Etsy. I wear them A LOT, as they are so comfy and a neutral colour.

Those sleeves!!! I love the neckline, too.

Can't wait to see what you'll wear on the Queen Mary.

Sooo beautiful! Could you please show more detailed fotos? Is it knitted or crochet?

Thank you! It definitely appears to be crocheted, rather than knit (I'm a beginner crocheter, but I recognize the pattern from my book on crocheting?).

Yes, I'd love too some detailed pics of the bust and sleeves if you have the chance to indulge us.

I'm sort of bogged down with etsy shop stuff, but will try to post some more detailed pics of the dress shortly!! xo
