(Beach) Pajama Party in the Suburbs

Despite my deco dreaming, at the end of the day, the reality is that, for now at least, I'm just a landlocked prairie girl from the suburban wilds of Edmonton.  That didn't stop me from bringing 30s beach style to the North side today in the form of my newly acquired deadstock 30s beach pyjamas.  I wore them while working on listings in my shop and I have to say I really dig my new work "uniform." SOMEDAY, maybe they'll get taken for a spin at one of the local beaches (Sylvan Lake, perhaps)? In the mean-time, these jazzy babies are rocking' the suburbs!

Wowza! What an eye catching print - so jealous! They make great PJs, but in a dress I'd be in heaven! They'll definitely stand out on the shores of Pigeon or Sylvan ;)

Oh so pretty! I found shoes almost like that one day from the flea market, now I am regretting that I didn't buy them. Looks sooo awesome!

Fabulous!! I'm mostly a 1940s/1950s gal, but I have to say, your blog has inspired me to try some 1930s styles (especially hair!) I really love the red/white sailor dress you showed last week. Love.

Love it, of course! But I have to ask - do you have to take the whole thing off to go to the bathroom? I've had outfits like that before, and they drove me crazy! ;)

Thanks, gals! I do love it and am happy to matches my green shoes!!

Beth, this one isn't so bad, but yes, you have undo the ties at the waist, and then pull it off the shoulders and down.

I love it- you are definitely living in the wrong era (or the right one?)! And having just picked up a surprise sunburn, I think I could use some beach pyjama coverage for the next little while...!

Eeps! Thank you!!!! I do feel like I suit modern garb less and less. They often knew how to make clothes with style and comfort balanced in the 30s!
