Sporting Fashions Retrospective

In preparation for the coming warmer months (which can't get here soon enough), I've been going through my closet, deciding which garments to purge and which to keep as perennial favourites.  The result is this short "from my cold dead hands" list of vintage sports/resortwear pieces that I definitely will be keeping & wearing this year and that I somehow think Ms. Harlow would have approved of!!

1#: 1930s "flour sack" sailor dress

#2: 1930s knitted sailor top & nudeedudee skirt

1930s backless "anchors & life preservers" novelty cotton dress

All gorgeous, and love the print in the last one! But please, stop...I can't get enough of your outfits, yet somehow it feels like self harming! :)

THANK YOU! These are my favourites for sure. Trying to keep the core wardrobe for each season relatively small and then only add a few new extra pieces each year.

garofit: sorry for the fashion s & m!!

OOOH!!! You should totally come visit me in Florida right now--it's been warm enough to wear these sorts of fashions for at least a good 10 days! :D Loving the nautical dress!

Such fun warm-weather clothing. I always have such a hard time figuring out what to wear when it gets hot, so I'll have to learn from you!

P.S. The scenery in the photo for your anchors and life preservers dress is magnificent. Ah, the beauties of nature!

Riikka, Lauren: kind thanks, dolls!
Casey: oh, how I wish I could get there in the blink of an eye!
