As promised, here is a sneak peek inside those shopping bags from today's vintage hunting expedition. Right now, I am inclined to hoard the first frock for myself. All the other items shown here will be going into my Etsy shop after they are cleaned and/or given special tender loving care. There's still more loveliness making its way into the shop over the next while. Stay tuned! |

1930s Lavender Lace and Lilac Crepe Rayon Gown with amazing slitted arms |
1930s Red and Beige Striped Skirt Suit (SO much like something Myrna Loy's character might have worn in 1937's Double Wedding). |

These are GORGEOUS. The sleeves on that first dress are unbelievable!
Absolutely stunning! That first dress is also absolutely lovely on you! Please keep it! The second looks fantastic on you as well. And I'm in love with the evening coat. :)
Wow, that first blue dress just about knocked my socks off! What wonderful finds!

Thanks!! There wasn't much older vintage from the 30s, but what there was, I honed in on!
Frollein: I'm going to be listing all of these pictured items (except the first blue dress for now) in my Etsy shop...including the suit ;)
Woah! Looks like you stumbled upon a real goldmine. All of these are STUNNING!
That beautiful blue dress looks like its been waiting for you for 80 years - don't be parted from it!
The Lacey Lilac Gown is my favorite!
You're a far better person that I am to let ANY of those beautiful finds go! They all look amazing on you, but most especially the first and second dresses!
Lovely. All of them!

They are all gorgeous, and I am glad you are keeping the blue - that colour is amazing on you.
Beauuuuuuuuutiful! Love the first dress in particular. You look so pretty... and you look kinda overcome by the beauty of the clothes you own!
Hehe, it is a MAJOR exercise in self-discipline here NOT to keep these ALL! Tilly, that's probably the emotion most behind my face in the photos (I'm thinking "don't get attached, don't get attached, feel nothing while the velvet and silk and lace caresses the skin" haha. Also, I was up at 5 AM yesterday and COMPLETELY fried by the time we got back home after battling traffic for an hour, but I HAD to try those beauties on, zombie state and all ;)
AND THANK you for your sweet comments and compliments. I am absolutely in love with the sort of dutch or cornflower blue of that first dress and am glad you think I can carry it off, Penny Dreadful!
gorgeous!
kind thanks!
Holy sheep shit!!!!!! Beautiful stuff. I'm so happy for you!
WOW!!!! What finds--and what a neat event to be able to attend! You have such a great eye for picking out treasures. My favorite is the 30s lilac gown with the slit sleeves. So glamorous!

Thanks!! That lilac lovely needs some work, but it was so beautiful I couldn't bear to leave it behind (and someone almost snatched it first, but when she didn't buy it, I knew I had to!)
