Deco Dream Scene

The way I am able to let some of the vintage lovelies I unearth go into the Etsy shop: my deco bathroom renovation.  Teaser sneak peek at the bathtub, which has had its feet attached, but no plumbing yet (I essentially snuck into the almost finished room after work hours on Friday night, just to take some outlandish photos). Fingers crossed, all fixtures will be operational by tomorrow evening...if I suddenly stop blogging, it's because I have decided just to live in the bathroom. As usual, my hands are doing weird things...just imagine I am miming reaching to turn on the imaginary water tap.

Who needs plumbing with a bathtub (and an outfit) like that?!

darling, let me just say, if that's how you look after long work hours on Friday night, than the rest of us should run and hide.
fabulous as always, and the funniest photo ever!

Love the bath, love the gown, love the photo. Although I feel like I'm peeking at you through the bathroom keyhole, which is a little disconcerting!

AMAZING photo, looks like it could be a deco postcard!

hehe...deco mermaid it is. LOL!

Tilly, yes! that is the effect I wanted. A little Alfred Cheney Johnston boudoir photo influence crossed with the outlandishness of a Busby Berkeley or Ziegfeld Follies vignette

Love that bath tub. I can't wait to see what your bathroom looks like when it is finished! I'm sure it's going to be stunning :)

A friendly word of advice: get a space heater for your bathroom. That steamy tub gets cold FAST in the winter with the air circulating 360 degrees around it. You probably know that already.

You look gorgeous!

Dear Hello Jodi! Thanks for the tip. We'll have to see how the heating situation goes--we re-insulated the walls and there is a floor vent from which the hot air from our central heating furnace will flow...Fingers crossed that will keep the bathroom toasty?
