Kentucky Derby!
At the risk of being an out and out copy catter, I just felt so inspired after reading the 1930s Girls About Town's latest post and watching a bit of the Kentucky Derby on tv just now, that I thought I would post some relevant pics. Okay, first, I found some GREAT images of the 1937 Kentucky Derby in the LIFE photo archives. There were lots more pictures of the actual horses, stables, races, and so forth, but I was most amused by the 30s society ladies getting a bit tipsy on the famous mint juleps, so I am mostly posting those images.

I watched the Kentucky Derby too! It's always so stylish. Great photos!
I'd love to go to the KD and maybe Ascot;) Dream on, right? I just can't stop laughing at that last image. That's SO going to be me one day ;)
