Seabiscuit

Thanks to the 1930s Girls About Town I was reminded of the movie Seabiscuit, which played a key role in bringing le Baron and moi together; on one of our very early dates, we went to see the film in theatres and then headed to the track to bet on the ponies.  The whole notion of a "theme" date was the mister's and I was so impressed by his creativity and sense of fun that I had no trouble saying yes to more dates...and the rest is history.  Let's get to the fashion we can glimpse Elizabeth Banks's character wearing in this flick (I'm about ready to climb inside that last image).

I have to say this is one of my favorite period movies; the clothing is spot on (and very inspiring) and I enjoyed the story as well!

They did a nice job on her costumes! Your post reminded me that Vancouver was on our cuircut - we were there at Hastings (?) Park with our grandfather.
