I'm SO sorry I haven't finished my list for the Sugar Doll award, darlings!!! Something else rather fun and wonderful (which shall be revealed very shortly) has been occupying my time, and the veritable downpour of excitement and busyness in my life these past few days show few signs of slowing until early next week, so I suppose I shall have to say to the following bloggers, "Tag, you're it! You've won the Sugar Doll award," so feel free to set about listing your 10 (or just 5) things about yourself on your blog as part of your award! IF I am able, I'll do the other five things and list five more bloggers, but not until at least next week!! In other news, I finally felt brave enough to show you the real 1930s Jantzen bathing suit I bought myself back at that vintage fair a few weeks ago. I love its shape and style, but for any of you who have never tried out a wool suit, yes, it DOES feel a bit scratchy. Not unbearable, possibly because I did wash it, but maybe I need to use some sort of special wool cleaner next time? Any advice? Okay, I'll see you "apres la deluge"! You look adorable! I really love vintage bathing suits.
You look amazing!!
i wanna be in that video, with all those girls, sunbathing, playing, and having little cares in the world. what a life! (I swear one of those girls looked identical to Zooey Deschanel...crazy!)
Aww, thank you, doll! I feel so warm and fuzzy!! I love this pic of you!! The umbrella is so beautiful too!! xoxo
What a great bathing suit!! Did you wash it in woolite? I have had really good luck with that brand of soap. I buy the kind for darks and for regulars and I really do love it.
Eeh, you look adorable! I love the look of knitted swimsuits, surely they must sag though when they get wet and reveal certain body parts?!
Thank you for the Sugar Doll Award! xx
Yep, 30s swimwear is a love of mine, too. It's quite a tight and slightly stretchy knit, so I don't think it will stretch out of shape the way a wool sweater might, but I'm not sure I'll ever wear it to the beach.
Emily, thanks for the Woolite tip. I used a gentle wash product, but it wasn't specifically for wool, so will have to try that!
OMG is that you! How adorable!!!

That bathing suit is adorable!
Somehow missed this - it's wonderful & adorable. I would not use Woolite, Oxyclean or anything like that on the wool suit. I use a little bit of baby shampoo of all things on mine, with (to complete the infant theme) baby-bath temp. water. Mine are '20s wool ones, and a '30s one with lastex, and works well on those even after (naughty) wearing in the water.
