Thanks to the 1930s Girls About Town I was reminded of the movie Seabiscuit, which played a key role in bringing le Baron and moi together; on one of our very early dates, we went to see the film in theatres and then headed to the track to bet on the ponies. The whole notion of a "theme" date was the mister's and I was so impressed by his creativity and sense of fun that I had no trouble saying yes to more dates...and the rest is history.
