Virtual Deco Vacation

Well, I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. I for one had a fabulous time hosting family, but I am also very glad to have things back to "normal." I'm exhausted, to be honest. A winter jetset vacation sounds great right about now. If I were a real Baroness, I suppose I'd be planning some posh trip to an exotic clime right about now. Alas, this is not to be this year. So, instead, I decided to use my overactive imagination to concoct a virtual vacation post. I just adore vintage Deco travel ephemera (part of my grad studies work actually involved travel lit), so I've included some of my favourites from the Golden Age of luxury travel, and since I got a lovely pair of 1930s lounge pants recently (for a whopping $10), I thought I would use them as part of a 20s/30s beach pajama-inspired outfit. The hat and silver shoes were also prezzies (I would NOT normally wear silver heels to the beach on a resort vacation, but this is my DREAM vacation, so anything goes). Okay, in REALITY, I'm off to the city to sleuth vintage. Keep an eye on my shop in the coming days--I've got some lovely new pieces ready to be added shortly! HAPPY NEW YEAR!
