La Vie en Rouge

I went to the French Quarter Farmer's Market in town yesterday and was happy the weather was crisp enough to allow me to wear my new knitted top. Doesn't it have a 1930s air to it? I thought so. It's made by a French company, too! I wore my new-to-me 1930s shell brooch. Isn't she a doll face? I'm still trying to name her, though. Any ideas?? I was considering Claudette, but would love to hear your suggestions.  1930s carved cellulite birdy bangle and the 20s/30s chenille beret (which I got in Montreal) rounded out my accessories.

Camille! But that is probably influenced by you saying Claudette and me thinking of Camille Claudel. ;)

I just adore this outfit. The blouse is wonderful (love the touches of white). I'm fully ready for autumn weather but we've been having a heat wave. So I'll still have to daydream by looking at wonderful outfits like yours!

Could she be a Cecile or a Coco? I love that red jumper, very 30s indeed and very gorgeous on you.

I agree with Tasha - Camille all the way. But in my case, I'm thinking "Now Voyager"! :)

It really does have a distinct, completely lovely 1930s feel to it. I love modern knits that channel days gone by like this. Beautiful ensemble, dear Jill!

*PS* The first name that sprung to mind when I saw your cutie pie brooch was Rochelle, because she's made from shells and it's a French name.
