The White Lady

Hello, lovelies! It's been far too long. Alas, this cold white winter landscape has zapped me of much energy (not to mention the light and heat needed to do cute outfit posts).  Rest assured, I do have a few things planned. In the mean-time, I thought I would share my new favourite vintage cocktail: the White Lady.

  • 2 ounces London dry gin
  • 1/2 ounce Cointreau
  • 1/2 ounce lemon juice
  • egg whites
 Instructions

Shake well with cracked ice, then strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Oh, sounds interesting! A must try.
I was watching a show the other day that made me think of your blog because the of the fab, fab clothes. Have you ever seen Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries? It's an Australian show set in the 20s or 30s, but it's streaming now on AcornTV. Phyrne (the main character) has some absolutely gorgeous clothes.

That was sounding quite good, until you got to the egg white! Um, I don't know if I could drink that.

I agree with Eileen, Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries is a good show, and you'd really like the amazing clothes.

Looks much better than my Pink Lady. No grenadine = win!

I love a White Lady, but I've never had one that had an egg white in it before. I like a gin fizz, though, so I'll have to add the egg white next time I make a White Lady. Just bought a new bottle of Cointreau, too.

The texture which the egg white brings to the mix is just dreamy! I guess the booze will disinfect any bugs hahah.

Oooh, I have not heard of that show. MUST look it up. Thanks for the tip, gals! xo
