Inspired by that distinctly autumnal crispness in the air today and the recirculation of images from Ralph Lauren's Fall 2012 collection (which was said to have been at least partially inspired by Lady Mary Crawley's hunting garb in Downton Abbey), here is a little reflection of my need for tweedy "lady of the manor" ensembles this fall.

Oh, I wish we had some autumnal coolness! It was 90 yesterday and promises to be about the same today. :(
I like to jokingly say that I was secretly born to an aristocratic British family but switched at birth, as anything with so much as a whiff of posh (UK) country manor life always sets my heart aflutter.

I have always loved tweed...even as a little girl. :-) One day it would be fun to join The Tweed Run in the UK.
Alas, there is a tweed ride in Toronto!!! I wish I could go to it and wear some fun tweeds on wheels!!
I wasn't quite prepared for how much Americans love Downton Abbey until having a woman at the next table at brunch talk very loudly about it for an hour!
I did notice the hunting-chic in Vogue this month and I rather like it. I'd really love some breeches! x
