Who could resist an invitation to a backyard vintage sale, flea market, and ice cream social, all poolside? Not I! Added bonuses: I got to wear my 1930s resort bolero (paired with nudeedudee 30s style skirt, Miss L. Fire "siesta" shoes) AND I got to spend some time with my fabulous gal pals, Lauren of Wearing History, and Beth of V is for Vintage!

Are these vintage clothes that you show washable, or at least safe to dry clean? I always wonder in what shape these old clothes are in. They are so lovely.
Ellie Rae,
The cleaning of vintage clothing depends on the fabric type and overall condition of the item. I don't take older pieces of clothing to the dry cleaners unless it is really necessary (many rayons and cottons and some silks can be hand washed). Some of the synthetic garments from the 1950s and later tends to generally be able to be dry-cleaned. If you are unsure about how to clean particular pieces of vintage in your possession, feel free to ask!
Wish I could have gone. We had two birthday parties to attend. Le sigh.
What a thoroughly awesome sounding day (I agree, I really can't imagine who could pass up an invite like that), which you were gorgeously (as always, my stylish dear) dressed for.
Wishing you a relaxing, wonderful weekend!

Looks like you had fun - and had the weather for it! It's a washout here in the UK, with lots of fetes and car boot sales being cancelled. Boo!

I love that picture of you and your friends by the pool. I wish I could have hanging my feet into the water like you on such a hot day.
Oh, looks like such a blast!
Wish you all could have been there (missed you, too, Patricia Lynn, but know how it goes...every weekend is jam packed!!).
