One Minute to Midnight

For kicks, I thought I would share two of the most magical 1920s dresses I've ever spied: if I had the means, I would gladly wear either for New Year's Eve.  What would your dream NYE ensemble look like?

You know what I love about these? They show that even in historical fashions tastes can vary a lot. You love them but (I'm sorry) I think they are just dreadful! Not at all my type of 20s fashion! I bet you would look smashing in them for a New Years Eve ball!

I am starry eyed... no guessing which dress is my fave.

The second one is absolutly stunning!!!!! I would like to wear a late 40's, early 50's New Look long evening dress for a NYE in a parisian palace... But for me it will be 50's mexican outfit for a vintage mexican party... OLE!!!!!

That's a really easy decision. The second one with the stars on it looks like it's straight from a fairy tale. I would like to be invented to a party where you can wear such glamourous dresses. But I don't want to moan about my New Year's Eve. I was funny and great.
Have a happy New Year 2012!

Very glamorous - I can't even imagine wearing something so special, I'm sure I would feel nervous and spill my champagne! This year I wore a summery dress that I'd made to go see the fireworks over Sydney Harbour - I think one of the recent Vogue Tracy Reese patterns - but was overdressed compared with everyone else there :-(

Happy New Year and thanks for all the inspirational photos through last year.
