I was planning to post more L.A pics, but right now, my mind is on cold weather vintage garb, so here are some images from a 1925 Montgomery Ward catalogue that I've been eyeing.
He, he, same mind set as usual! I am currently having knitted a big sweater as in your third image, and a shawl neck jumper for hubby too! As for the other type, I have to say I've been spending hours and dour and hours trying to find something similar. I know the chances of actually coming across an affordable vintage one are practically non existent, so I have been looking at modern fashion versions, because there ARE some! But I am still on the prowl and I guess I will be with this one for a little while. However what I did find is a mid 30's ski jacket look in the shape of the ubiquitous bomber jacket!
Cute! I love the chunky knits. This doesn't stop me from feeling a little snug that I won't need too much of these kind of clothes for the next six months or so!

Love the Buffalo plaid jackets, even though they aren't very feminine!

Cute buffalo checks!
Now this is adorable winter wear!! I must find a cute little knit cap or cloche like they're sporting; so sweet!
These are beautiful! I especially love the one wearing the knickers and the stocking cap!
