Brooding Beauty

Don't worry, dames! I've got lots coming to the shop for you, too.  One of my favourites is this 1920s crepe-backed satin dress. I love its fluttery lace capelet detailing! It never fails: this time of year I really gravitate towards moodier, broodier 20s fashion.

The shoes are great too, and the hat...Is that a creation of Behida Dolic? I dream to buy one of her hats, they are wonderful things!

Hey, thanks, dolls!
I'll be listing the dress shortly (I was thrilled with its condition as well!).

garofit: the hat was from etsy (not Behida, though).
Shoes are Re-mix vintage, but I also got them on etsy, at a deep discount! x

I just love this outfit! You have such a wonderful way of wearing your clothes that screams of elegance... one day, I'm hoping I'll be able to pull off that look ;)

Love the dress, especially with the pop of red. The lace accents are so fabulous!

I don't like 20's clothes on me, but it's your perfect style!!!
Love that.... I saw vintage 20's NOS lingeries (yellow and pink slips and panties made of light coton) in flea markets today with cute art deco and floral embrodeiries and tought about your blog...

THANK YOU!!! Lately I'm definitely gravitating back towards late 1920s/early 30s fashion, though mid-30s fashion is still my passion, too!! Ah, vintage!!!

This dress is so beautiful! I don't know if you sew, but if you do, you should check out this month's "Threads" magazine. They have a gorgeous velvet 1930's cape in it with instructions on how to replicate it. I'm thinking of making one myself if I find the right velvet :)
