Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay

I wish I could say I "glam"-ped it up during our short but sweet camping experience this weekend, but I admit I was so into lazing by the lake or reading by the campfire or hiking in the woods or swatting mosquitoes that glamourous outfit shots didn't take much precedence.  However, I *did* put on some red lipstick when I went swimming in my vintage inspired Esther Williams swimsuit, and the first day, I *did* run around in my 30s-inspired playsuit (made by nudeedudee). Since we're going to be spending at least a week this summer at a remote waterfront cabin in the woods, I do think I will need to continue to explore outdoorsy/camping-appropriate outfit options, however, so do expect more posts on this subject! :)

OH I wish I was out in the country with this hot weather right now!

And to answer your question, those pictures are from Riverdale Farm, in Cabbage Town, which is just east a of yonge in Toronto. Next time you're here you definitely need to check it out, there's lots of adorable farm animals there, and it's just beautiful! A nice escape from the city in the city : )

Love that shot of you! =D Despite not being an outdoorsy gal, by any stretch of the imagination, I still love seeing posts like this from others. So I look forward to any future posts on the subject. =]

Looks wondeful. The best breaks are when you are not worrying about what you have to wear or what you look like and just enjoying the surrondings. Glad you had a lovely time. x

It was more relaxing than it was glamourous...until we got caught in a morning shower on Sat! Oh well, we were prepared and had a lovely moment cooking french toast under the tarp. Glad to be back from "roughing it" though. Enjoy the "luxury" of lakeside cottage-ing much more. Will be sure to post piccies when we go at the end of the summer! Thanks for your kind comments all the same! I could have sat on that dock for HOURS!

What a gorgeous location! I've been eyeing those Esther Williams swimsuits for a while. Might have to take the plunge! Haha.

I most definitely prefer cottages to tents. Mosquitoes love me and I love running water.
