Cabin Fever, Part Three: Seeing Spots

Inspired by 1920s vintage cartes de visite bathing beauties, I donned a pair of 1920s canvas bathing/beach shoes, a polka dotted bandeau (which matched the lichen-spotted rocks!), and a black cotton tank top + shorts combo that I hope adequately "passes" for a 20s swimsuit :).  The beach shoes are destined for the shop, but I just had to try 'em out. FUN!

I love these photo's SO much! You looks so beautiful and I want those shoes. What size are they? x

WOW, Miss Rayne...best compliment EVER. Thank you, everyone!!!

Kelly-Marie: I have to double check precise measurements but they fit my size 8 US feet with ease! They have some wear to them, but are great for photoshoots!

Oh, I'm just in love with all your lake shore outfits!! I second Miss Rayne; you look so striking and authentic in this glamorous little '20s look. And how I adore your gingham pyjamas from yesterday, too!!

Dakota, thank you!! Can't wait to see your own seaside pics!

iliveinmylab: can you believe it's NOT a swimsuit?? I faked the look with shorts and a tank top!! Much less itchy than real 20s wool! I'm STILL on the hunt for the perfect 30s repro suit, though....

I wouldn't have known it wasn't a swimsuit! Love the ensemble.

As always well done! You look smashing! I truly wish I could find such wonderful period clothing as you manage to do! xx

NO WAY!!! Looks great together! I would never survive in a real wool suit, it's far to horribly hot and miserable here for that so I'll stick to my stretchy elastic based fabrics :) And don't worry we will find you the PERFECT 30's repro suit... if it kills us!

Those boathouses are the cutest! I'm such a sucker for wee boat/beach houses, or any kind of row of odd coloured old houses! You look great in your shorts and vest, and those cute shoes! A stunning outfit just like every time I pass by! Zoë x
