Spoooooky....I had an overwhelming urge to blog some Jean Harlow "bathing beauty" images today. While gathering some pics, I came across a reminder that she had passed on June 7th, 1937. Goose bumps! So, here's to you, Harlean!
I agree with Glamorous Housewife. I looked over the swimsuit section at Target the other day and it was bleak. There wasn't a speck of glamour to be found!
Oh goodness, Solanah, you're RIGHT. They are/were teeny little feet...at least if this source is correct http://www.lisaburks.com/jeanharlow/faq.htm A 3 1/2 B???? Wow, those 30s gals had no tootsies at all!
Gals, I couldn't agree more. Why the heck can't bathing suit designers give us something like THIS---NOT in wool, but in a modern fabric with some vintage "yompfff" to quote William Powell in Double Wedding. LOL

Dont you wish you could just run down to the store and pick up those bathing suits! Lovely pictures.
Thanks doll,
The Glamorous Housewife
Now feeling rather in need of a white swimming costume with black waist bow...
Wow that is SO spooky! Lovely pics, she was always such a stunner. x
Oh her feet look teeny! Wonder what size she wore.
Great pics!

Saw a HUGE framed photo/poster of Jean at an antiques fair today, more coincidence.
Her figure is so incredible, she was such a gorgeous woman! I really love the bathing suit in the top photo, so lovely :)
these photos are just darling! =)

I'm obsessed with Jean and always feel so sad at her early death ... how she suffered! She was a woman with spunk! xo
Wow! I wish we all could look like that in a bathing suit, haha!
Look how tiny her feet are! I know no one else is looking at her feet, but my they're small. Great pics!
