Let's K-nock K-nees

On what I hope is my last day of convalescence for a loooong time, I rewatched The Gay Divorcee.  Speaking of resort wear and playsuits, there are loads of darling ensembles to ogle during this clip (say, isn't that a young Betty Grable?)

Love this film! I don't even think Betty's noted on the screen titles for this film is she?! Shame - she's marvellous (as ever) in it!

Betty Grable is the very last cast member listed in the opening titles--I just got the Gay Divorcée/Top Hat/Swing Time/Shall We Dance DVD set (I had them on VHS forever!) and Paul and I watched The Gay Divorcée a couple of nights ago! Great minds?

Ooo, never seen this film before, but I sure do want to see it now! Makes me want to cut my hair shorter and don some lounge/ beach jim jams, then prance around at a lido- can’t wait till summer! Tups x

Wow - adorable clothes!!! And don't you just love the men's fashions!? The best era for men I think. My husband was an extra in Baggar Vance and he said those thirties suits are tight!! Thank you for your inspiring blog - I'm addicted!

Nice to see the timeless appeal of sandals and socks hahaha. It's really adorable but she never plays her ukulele!

YES, those socks & sandals get lots of mileage here! haha!

tat: I know what you mean about the men's fashion! I'm trying to get some duds for my husband but he's so tall that it's hard to find any 30s items that fit. I LOVE Bagger Vance! How neat your hubby was an extra!

Let's all head to the Lido! ;)
