Today was finally warm enough outside for slightly lighter outwear, so I layered my navy 30s spring coat (yes, this ridiculous person before you has bought yet *another* coat) over my favourite 30s knit dress for a leisurely walk to the post office. Wore different booties but since these 30s/40s shoes were waiting for me (bought from Dear Golden), I had to try them on as soon as I got home. It was so nice to feel sunlight warming my face!!! Note to self: re-secure those wild buttons. They seem to rotate with wear.

I love that coat. Those buttons are fantastic!!!
beautiful coat, love the navy dress too.
Stunning! Great buttons on that coat.
Ohh love the nautical style pattern on your knit dress, so lovely!
Great outfit, as always. The huge buttons on your coat are such fun! Hooray for sun!
Let those without ridiculous coat collections cast the first stone. In other words I cannot fault you, lovely purchase.

Super cute necklace giveaway!
Simply; stunning!!
that's a fantastic dress. I'm jealous of your knit dress.
Absolutely swooning over that dress! And the coat -- totally worth it. I'm a bit of a coat junkie too.
thank you!! The dress is my perennial favourite and my big buttoned coat is my newest love (thanks for enabling me, dear Lemondrop Marie :).
Love the whole look!!! How wonderful that you dress for trips to the post office!! You must have a very talented hair dresser to get that beautiful hair cut!
So perfect in every way! I love how this is your look for the post office. Swoon. xoxo
thank you! I don't always dress this way for my p.o. trip, but felt like it yesterday!
tat: kind thanks!
I love this dress ! Looks perfect on you !
Yes, this dress is one of my favorites on you as well! The coat looks fabulous too!
Oh, I am so into navy at the moment. Love this outfit, and those shoes! Swoon!
Um... it's not *normal* to buy loads and loads of coats?! lol. I can't seem to pass up a good vintage jacket or coat, despite needing them for only a few weeks of the year. It's an addiction!
Loving the white swirl design on the ensemble--such a great detail!
