Self-Induced Ebay Torture: Coats

Good morning!  Time for some self-induced eBay torture.  Although out of my price and/or size ranges, the 30s coats below, spotted on eBay recently, are the stuff of deco dreams.  I've included some other sample coat images from 30s magazines that, in the case of the blue coats in the first two images, seem to illustrate styles of coats that are very comparable to the real-life garments!  Awesome!

What great pictures you've found! I love that coat too! I love the way that women of that era put together the whole outfit..hats, shoes, gloves.

Even though the 40s/50s are my main area of interest, I die over 30s coats! They have the most dramatic silhouettes and details, imho. (Plus I go a little giddy over the enormous fur collars that were so popular then. Such a diva detail! ;) All of these--the real examples and illustrations--are gorgeous. Thanks for sharing! :)

Wow. Love them both. Can't believe the second one is already that much :o
Mmm.... coats...
I haven't even cut mine out yet. Lol! But I've had to scrap the fur idea. *sniffle*. Maybe will make removable faux fur instead.
