Yellowfield7: La Creme de la Creme

For months and months, I have been squirreling away funds in hopes of purchasing a 1930s-style chapeau from the fantastically talented Behida of Yellowfield7, whom I consider the creme de la creme of hat-makers.  At long last, an amazing winter white hand draped piece is mine!  Just in time for wear with my fall suits and dresses. I'm sure you're going to see this little beauty in many many more outfit posts in future.  The lighting wasn't great today, so I was unable to get the best pics of the details possible.  I'm also still figuring out how best to wear it.  Anywhooo....Ahem, you will probably see me listing more of my vintage hat and dress collection in the shop shortly, as well.  Gotta put some pennies back into the baronial coffers, y'know.

i've had a look at her shop, her hats are truly fantastic! how did it work? did you send your hat picture or pattern in for her to create it?

The hat looks really great with your outfit :)

goodness, me, thank you!!!

garofit: I initially wanted to buy one of the hats she had already listed as an available style but someone bought it right as we were emailing about it, so she did a custom hat. In that instance, she asked if it was okay if she had total creative freedom to create a totally one-of-a-kind piece (she asked for some pics of me, for a sense of my style, personality, etc). Really an AMAZING experience. As I noted above, I really haven't done the hat justice in this photo in terms of showing the amazing detailing and hand draping. Expect more pics soon!!! I'm already eyeing some of her other new styles just listed. Eeks!

baroness, the hat looks like it was made for you, literally! You look so jaunty in a hat.

I'm still sad that there's some weirdness with my blog and your not being able to post. :( Any ideas?

Hmmm, post #2... Grrrr blogger.

You look a bit like Myrna Loy with your hat. And it looks like it was made for you, madam!

Have you been able to sniff out why you've not been able to post on my blog? Inquiring minds and all that...

Darlene: sheeesh. This sucks. I just tried to comment AGAIN and the comment box just freezes up. I can't even type anything in it. Maybe I'll have to try fixing it by stopping following you and then re-following you. Fingers crossed....

Ok... I hope... I am so sorry for the inconvenience of all this... :(
