Collared Cuties

Cleaning out my image cache, I noticed I had saved several images of darling 20s and early 30s girls with collars, often accented with bows.  Revisited by Mary Quant and other Mod designers in the 60s and again in each following decade, including this year, on Michelle Williams' stunning gown, this sort of detailing is something that I think many find perenially precious.  If you like this look, you can get a dress or blouse with such a collar already attached, but you can also buy the collars themselves through sellers such as: Hopelessly Devoted (modelled to perfection by the gorgeous blogger behind Esme and the Laneway I do believe!

i love the collared look! i was thinking exactly the same in terms in buying some collars and attach them to simple modern blouses or plain dresses - i am yet to own the modern blouses and simple dresses though :)

There are some ADORABLE and often inexpensive vintage 50s and 60s versions of this look on Etsy that you would swear are from the 20s. I'll try to add some links if I can...

I love collars! They are that little something that can lift a whole outfit. There are lots of second handshops who sell seperatley collars, just ask the dealer and you will walk out of the store with a bunch of them! :D

These are so cute! I really need to make a basic black dress with interchangeable collars someday. Collars are so much fun!
