Awesome! You sound so smart! You are smart of course, but what I meant is that the article is well written. Awesome job. Congrats on your publication!

I had NO idea? How wonderful for you. I've been meaning to ask - what do you do for a living, miss? Am I allowed to pry? If not, no worries, but you are a strong writer. This article seems quite natural. I'm stoked for you, J!

Wow, congratulations...wonderful news.
Funny, in reference to your Hepburn meets Bacall look comment - Lauren Bacall has always been my favorite actress, and everyone used to tell me when I was younger, how much they thought I looked like Hepburn. So you are spot on, darling!

thanks! seems the editor and i missed a couple of typos and grammar gremlins, but on the whole, I feel satisfied with this first effort.

Darlene: I WAS a college english lit and composition instructor/Victorian Studies scholar (though you would never know it from my atrociously ungrammatical blog postings...I'm a TERRIBLE self-editor and proofreader). Right now, since we moved to our new, incredibly quiet and small village, I'm doing a little bit of private tutoring and running my Etsy shop..and for fun, I've started doing some independent fashion history/scholarly article writing.

Fantastic article! I'm a big Theda fan. I love A Fool There Was. It's a shame that Cleopatra didn't survie in its entirety.
