Gatsby Garb

Okay, if I haven't scared you off the Gatsby Picnic with my previous post, here are some items from my Etsy shop that I think seem to fit the "How to Gatsby" criteria listed on the Art Deco Society of California's website. (My shoes are all wrong, though...and they're not for sale anyway). Now you just will need to find a hat, gloves, purse, and jewelry.

1920s Two Piece Silk Dress

Early 1930s Sheer Dress with attached Capelet collar

Early 1930s Ruffle Sleeved Floral Sheer Organdy Dress

All 3 are beautiful, but my personal favorite is the third dress. Love the ruffle sleeve and the colors of the flowers.
Have a great weekend.

Oh, the first look is so Gatsby!

Me too, Celestial and Trixie. That third one is going to be hard to see go.

Nancy: Yes, I wish they all fit me, TOO!

Pixie: I totally agree. Apparently the Gatsby Picnic lets people dress in 20s, 30s, and even 40s gear, which is why I thought I would highlight the three dresses that seem to fit the occasion and fashion history range they allow. Personally, I would TOTALLY wear the first one with a fantastic straw cloche hat, but I'd also consider the third one my next top choice (I'd wear THAT one with a big wider brimmed faux horsehair sun hat).

I wish I could look as fab as you in these 20's 30's styles that you are always sporting! I just look frumpy and pudgy. :-(
