This weekend was so busy that I really didn't stop to take any outfit photos before our outings each day, so last night,
le baron and I did a very deliberately posed photo shoot in the backyard showcasing the outfit I had worn on Saturday while playing with my nephew in our backyard tree house. The tree house has a steering wheel that makes it a pretend ship, so I thought a nautical look would suit. Ahoy! If I look cheesy and overposed, it's because I was very consciously trying to mimick the models in the 30s knitwear booklets I love so much. Hehe. I must give serious kudos to you vintage lovers out there who are also parents. The way I've seen many vintage mommas balance parenthood and super awesome vintage style is commendable and inspiring!

very lovely, you look wonderful in these colors, and not overposed at all!
You are just too cute!!
That's so darling!
My goodness, could you look any sweeter!! Just fabulous!
Hope you had a marvelous weekend!
aww, thanks! It's a definite favourite! It's been dreadfully scorching hot here the last day or so, though, so no more knitwear until the temperature drops a bit!!
Carys, clearly, we have great fashion symbiosis! ;)
I swear I've posted replies to people's comments three times now and they've disappeared. THANK YOU everyone. This is a favourite outfit, for sure, but it's now gotten so hot here that I think the knitwear must go back into storage until cooler days.
That's a smashing sweater! Love nautical.
