Worn

Thanks to Jonathan and Kenn at Kickshaw Productions, I am now aware of a Canadian vintage fashion zine called WORN fashion journal.  This offers me a sense of promise.  Maybe there IS a vibrant vintage community up here in maple land ;).  For $20 US, you can get a two year subscription. Otherwise, each issue is $6.00 (see their Etsy shop).  I'm super excited to receive Issue 9 so I can check out the article on wartime beauty in "Beauty as Duty: Re-thinking the Value of Aesthetics During Wartime" as well as a Nancy Drew-themed fashion editorial.  I also believe there is a feature article on the Fashion History Museum I visited on the weekend.  Maybe I'll give a little review of the zine once my subscription gets going.  Maybe I'll even write FOR the zine....we'll see. In the mean-time, there are dresses to be soaked and mended and photographed and shipped.  Wheeeee...

I've been hearing a lot about zines lately. I don't really have much insight on the topic, so I second a review :)

That looks like a great zine! I have been wondering about vintage in Canada myself, because you don't see too many vintage bloggers up here. Thanks for pointing this out!
