Shoes, Glorious Shoes!

Nothing thrills me more than seeing items glimpsed in vintage catalogues brought to life in the form of real-life vintage for sale.  Example:  some drool-worthy white 30s shoes on Etsy right now look like they've stepped out of the 1930s catalogue.  Shoes in first photo from Scottie in a Canoe ; second pair  from Flower on the Wall; third pair from Hillbilly Filly.

All I can say is "WOW!!" those first ones are so incredibly gorgeous. Why, oh why have I been cursed with size 9 feet! Those stunning peep toes will haunt my dreams for weeks! :(

Incredible, they look so similar to the catalogue, it's as if they've just stepped straight from the 30s! The problem i have is that my feet are too wide and i have a stupid little toe that likes to moan and complain after half an hour. I can still look and drool though :)

yeah, these would never fit me, either. Fun to admire from afar, though!!

The first pair is sooo cute, and I saw a similar pair in a store today!! All are wonderful. I kind of want some white shoes for summer.

Ahhh! Nooo! White 30's shoes are my absolute weakness. I can never find them in my size. Then I finally win a pair for a decent price on eBay and they got lost in the mail. :(

I fit into one pair of those, but they are out of my price range! I'm trying to furnish my vintage wardrobe in $25 or under per item. What great finds though! If I weren't undergoing my $25 Vintage challenge I'd snatch them up right now!

Tess: Ohhh nooooo! That's too bad ;(

Nancy: that's a great challenge. I must admit I got my 1930s white shoes for about $25 on eBay, so if you are lucky and patient you just might find your dream shoes, but without breaking your challenge goals!

So fantastic!! I live right down the way from Re-Mix, and I'm always tempted to go in--at least they can outfit my manly size 10 feet! You must have the lucky narrow tootsies to rock these puppies. I always look on etsy for a shoe maker, but not much beyond house shoes so far~

Ooh, boy, I have yet to own any re-mix shoes. I'm thinking of saving for the Myrnas, but luckily I don't have the temptation of living so near the shop!!! I saw a person who handcrafts "st. tropez" leather sandals on Etsy, but that's about it. Too bad the art of shoe-making seems to have all but disappeared!!

I do have rather long feet. They would be narrow if it wasn't for my big toe joints...too many years spent standing as a cashier and then as an instructor also made my arches drop a bit. Too much foot info, I'm sure....:)
