Hairstyles I'd Love to Wave Hello To!

I'll keep you posted if/when I get my vintage hairstyle all sorted with the help of my vintage curling/waving iron! In the mean-time, in my next post, I'm putting up some inspiring 1920s and early 30s hairstyle pics from Life Magazine's online archive.

Aren't vintage waves the dreamiest? The brunettes in the first and third from last photos are making me tempted to try a drastic centre part like that!

Lovely! Your hair always looks so cute - how lucky you are to have the natural wave.

Beautiful photos, if i was daring enough i would cut my hair and attempt 20s/30s styles x

If you go to any hair salon today, these would be called "finger" waves, styled with a rat tail comb and hair gel. When my hair was short, I would wear 20s style waves on occasion. I loved them! I always felt like Josephine Baker or Betty Boop when I wore them. Go for, Stefanie!

Yes, finger waves are rarely distinguished from the Marcel waves nowadays. Will post pics if/when I get this all sorted!
