Vintage Tea with Miss Bee!

Yesterday evening, the beautiful Miss Bee and I attended Dr. Anne Bissonnette's lecture on the history of Tea Gowns hosted by Rutherford House.  What a treat!  Here's a little recap of the evening, in instagram photos (well, I took my outfit photo in advance, but the rest were instagrammed). Attendees were encouraged to dress up...there was a wee contest for best dressed and my 1930s ensemble won (I thought B. should have at least shared in that title, but what an honour, as the other guests looked great!!!).

1930s hat (in my shop)
1930s dress: Wildfell Hall
1930s and carved bangles: my own collection

Elizabeth's Antique and Collectibles Outing

This past weekend, Laurie (Retro Reporter), Bailey (Miss Bee Vintage) and I braved the blowing snow to attend the spring edition of Elizabeth's Antique and Collectible Sale here in Edmonton. We each found some cute little odds n' ends and accessories, and were very flattered to find people enjoyed our vintage outfits!  Thanks to Sheree Zielke Visuals for these lovely shots capturing our outing! We'll be back again next season, perhaps with a booth!  Just a note that Laurie has started a Facebook group to help Alberta vintage lovers connect: if you are an Alberta Vintage lover come join us!

Valentine's Vintage Blogger Meet Up

I just want to thank Laurie, a.k.a Retro Reporter, for arranging a vintage gals' meet up here in Edmonton.  Here are a couple of my favourite photos from the night (you may recognize Bailey, a.k.a Miss Bee Vintage at far left and the gal in the black coat second in from right is Erin from "My Twelve Cents' Worth").  You can see a few more over at Laurie's blog.
