Fall-ing into Old Patterns, Part Two

These 30s Simplicity patterns are simply scrumptious.  I've got a brown and yellow plaid fabric calling out to be made into something fabulous.  I'm thinking I might try to make a frock similar to the one just below at right. If I was skilled enough, I would take the red plaid dress fabric I've got and turn it into that last dress at right.  Dreeeeaaam, dream dream dream.

Fall-ing into Old Patterns

Waiting and waiting for the tv repair folks to get here (WHY must they say they'll be here some time between 12 noon and four?? Can't you be more precise, people?).  Ended up spending too much time poring over images of amazing 30s dress patterns on carbonated's flickr stream.  I seem particularly in love with the McCalls fall frocks.  Droolsville, baby.
