Baby, It's Cold Outside!

Brrrrr! I don't know what it's like where you live, but we've just got our first skiff of snow here in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, which has me kicking into high gear when it comes to acquiring cold-weather coverings in the form of coats, sweaters, boots, scarves, and more. To whit, I have a couple of amazing 1940s coats in the shop that are perfect for staving off the chills!

Yikes! Snow?! It's been cold here but not quite cold enough for snow.

Love them both. On this side of the hemisphere, it's still warm enough to go swimming - autumn is taking its time to stride in. Sooo.... swimming it is, possibly, for now.

Over all this whole fall has been unseasonably cold here in the Okanagan. It started off dismally rainy and grey, then the sun poked back out for little while, followed by a bevy of foggy days, and now it just looks like it wants to start snowing any minute, too. I wouldn't be surprised if we get our first fall before the month is up.

I saw some of the icky white stuff on the deck the other day, and we have already had a serious snow flurry last Saturday, which melted rapidly, but while it lasted, it was heavy enough to actually accumulate in small piles here and there! Brrr! great coats, BTW! I have GOT to get a shot of that mustard-coloured 40s hat on its way to you!

That second coat is so dreamy! It's been getting warmer here, of course, so I'm not thinking much about coats. Hehe.
