Dustbowl Daisy

What I wore out to aforementioned historical site today: 1930s cotton dress (which I call my dustbowl daisy frock).  Note to self: when you wear vintage to such places, you need to expect that you will be treated like part of the museum!

Lovely dress that looks gorgeous on you. Hope you weren't treated too much like a part of the Museum though! ;-)

Tis funny when people think your part of the museum or the alike- I had a coach party wave at me once when I visited a similar place! Yet another lovely dress and (andy)boy do I want your shoes!

You look soooo lovely! I really like those cute shoes, they go marvelously with your wonderful 30s frock.

I had to smile ear-to-ear, because I've made the same mental note to myself before, too :)

Thank you all! The shoes are vintage, too (late 30s, as I gather). They are starting to look and act their age, but the lastex in them is still stretching!

At some point I'll have to show a close up of the pattern on the fabric. It really is lovely!

:) warm thanks to everyone for stopping by and commenting!

Beautiful! I just love the dress print. :) And those sleeves! *swoon*

I think sometimes half the fun is dressing up to "go" with the site you're visiting. Often times when we've visited museums that have a WWII section, I'm asked if I'm part of the exhibit. teehee! But honestly that sometimes makes it even more fun. :)
