I can't tell you how much I love this dress, especially the sleeves and the belt! It looks beautiful on you, too; the colors are perfect. This might be my favorite so far (but it's so hard to choose)!!
Oh my goodness, I hope you never sell that because you would regret it so much! Amazing to think someone spent so much time and effort on that. xoxo Solanah
Oh! It's just wonderful. I would buy that dress in a heart beat! If only it was for sale, "sigh!" :)
yes, don't sell it, it looks wonderful on you, so much better than seeing like this! But the details are great, thanks for posting close ups - for me that tiny neckline flap detail is the cherry on the cake!
Its crocheted yes?Its truly a gorgoeus dress and something you wont find too often.
this dress is KILLER. absolutely utterly gorgeous. the colours...yummo!
Thank you!! A definitely keeper! Nelly, yes, I too believe it's crocheted. As Solanah noted, the amount of time and care that must have gone into the construction of this garment almost boggles the mind. So special!!! Don't I know how lucky I am!!!Garofit: yes, that flap is a neat little detail, isn't it. I occurs to me that you could feed some sort of accent (little scarf, etc) through it if desired? I didn't like the look created when worn un-snapped, but surely, it was a feature that was designed more than to be functional? Ah....the beauty of 30s design, non?
Sooo beautiful! And thank you very much for theses close up fotos!
The original owner was a much more talented crocheter than I am! I don't know how long it would take, but my guess would be a similar knitted garment would take me at least 200 hours. What a dress!
