Slighty Schia

I love 1930s avant garde hats, and the Piko Paris black velvet 'cossack turban' hat I just found for the shop is no exception.  I see a resemblance to the Schiaparelli hat Cecil Beaton photographed Wallis Simpson wearing for British Vogue in 1935. Would you wear it?

I wouldn't, but I LOVE it on Schiap (L) and of course those who are like her...

I think it's absolutely adorable! I would love to wear one so long as it was in a neutral colour. xx

Yes, Wallis Simpson does give one hope that we mere fashion mortals could pull of a deco dunce cap with such élan!

Indeed, I would definitely wear this elegant, artfully shaped topper. The solid black hue and soft fabric lend it a very versatile feel and ability to partner well with an array of looks.

Totally would wear that! It reminds me of a hat I tried on in Paris 25 years ago. I haven't bought it, still regret that.
