The Canadian Rocky Mountains have always been a special place for me. As an infant, I camped in the shadow of Mt. Edith Cavell; as a teenager, I hiked and canoed to my heart's delight. As a woman, I got married to my ex husband at Emerald Lake; so many things have changed in the last year; now, I am excited to return to this special place to reconnect with myself and the beauty of the peaks and lakes of my home province! I hope to have some fun photos to share when I return! In the mean-time, some stunning 1920s hand-tinted lantern slides from the Glenbow Museum Archives!

Great slides! I spent as few days at Lake Louise almost 30 years ago, I still recall fondly that time in this wonderful area. Greetings!
Wow such great photos and so beautiful! Thanks for these! XxxX http://thesecondhandrose.blogspot.co.uk
Looks so gorgeous and those slides are lovely. If I ever get the chance to go to such a place, then I think I will need at least a years notice to plan my vacation wardrobe : D
Spectacular slides! Wow!
These slides are wonderful! Reminds me a bit of where I grew up, near the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Beautiful!

I was thinking about your earlier this week, because I posted snaps of me wearing the immensely cute 1950s dress I bought from you earlier this year. It's such a gem of a piece and one I've been sporting often this summer.
I love these, especially the soft colorization. The next time I hikr I think I'll wear light green and a dark red beret.
