Comfort Zones

Ahhh, as if on command, the weather has turned more temperate the last few days.  Still, it's not *quite* cool enough for me to prance around outside for long in this much desired 30s knit dress that I won after an epic ebay battle.  You know me and my knits.  I tried to resist, but this was one beauty I couldn't let get away.  Once it arrived, I thought: hey, the colours and stripes remind me of the Hogwart's school colours.   Magic!

  5. I love it! It is very Gryffindoresque, but if you ask me, that's a good thing! (I've been dying to get a sweater just like the one Mrs. Weasley makes for Ron (with the big 'R' on it) and wear it around everywhere...)

    Love your blog!

  7. I love it! And, yes, very Hogwarts. You could be a Gryffindor professor in the '30s, maybe?

  10. Ah, YES, Gryffindore colours!! I knew there was a Harry Potter connection! hehe!

    Thank you so much!

Fab: I think it's going to be too warm in CA for this beauty...also, it's a bit bulky so would take up too much room in my suitcase!! I can't wait to air the goodies I've got waiting in the wings for the QM! Hurrah!!

  11. The shoes are from Dear Golden on Etsy. I wear them A LOT, as they are so comfy and a neutral colour.

  18. Thank you! It definitely appears to be crocheted, rather than knit (I'm a beginner crocheter, but I recognize the pattern from my book on crocheting?).
