I was rummaging around online and came across these images of some insect-accented Schiaparelli pieces from her Summer 1937 (butterfly gown) and Fall 1938 collections. The suit jacket has beetle buttons! What an intriguing collar/necklace, as well! Okay, time for this gal to buzz off and get ready for an evening of playing social butterfly.
Oh my goodness!!!
ReplyDeleteI am really loving the butterfly dress. It's fab. :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen the insect necklace before! Can you believe how ahead of her time Miss Schiap was? It blows the mind. Nice post!

ReplyDeleteI love how she had such fun with fashion. I checked out a huge coffee table book on her designs from the library and just gorged myself on fabulousness.
