A colorized image from a 1930s knitting booklet (shown below) gave me the idea to start mixing and matching some of my own 30s sets & separates. Here are a couple of colour combos I tried out:
30s Peach Crocheted Top with Light Blue Knitted skirt |
Peach top again with green knitted skirt |
Perfect colours!
ReplyDeleteGreat color combinations. I love them both, they look great on you. Ah, I can't wait for more summery weather!
ReplyDeleteI love the first combo, perfect Spring look xx
ReplyDeleteOh that knitted top is marvellous! Great pics :)
ReplyDeleteLoving BOTH - but especially the green :)
ReplyDeleteBlue & peach works surprisingly well!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I love both of them! I have a hard time pairing separates but I love them so.
ReplyDeleteBoth of those outfits are fantastic! Great pairings!
ReplyDeletebeautiful,once again :)
ReplyDeleteSuper cute!!
ReplyDeletei always loved gowns because i'm not very skilled in pairing vintage separates!
ReplyDeletei don't know why people say light blu and pink don't match,to me are lovely together!
I love that top, so gorgeous. It looks so lovely with both the light blue and the green skirt. So perfect for spring.
ReplyDeleteAdore the peach and green combo x
ReplyDeleteLovely! Perfect colors for spring. Stop by and visit my new blog if you get a chance. :)

thanks, dolls! I'm thinking I love the green with the peach best, but would totally wear the peach with the pale blue this spring, too! Fun to experiment! I wish peach was an easier colour for me to wear, though. Definitely tricky for me to rock the orange colour group...or pastels, really. Oh, well, that's what bronzer is for! :)
ReplyDeletePeach and blue is lovely, I especially like the hat in the first pic, that would be so YOU
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea!! I really love the peach with the green -- it's a great combination, one I would never have thought of.
ReplyDeleteVery simple and elegant. I love the shoes! Peach and green go great!
ReplyDeleteAh, I can always count on you to post more outfits for me to daydream about! (Especially the knitteds!) I like both pairings but I must say that I’m more taken with the green and peach…… and I have to mention that hat….. ooow arhhh- isn’t that just something! Tups x
ReplyDeletethanks again! my celluloid bracelet actually gave me the idea that orange & green could go (I also have a fun 30s cotton plaid dress, my "peas n' carrots" frock, that is this same colour palette); am happy with the pair up!
ReplyDeleteMiss Rayne, Tickety Boo: I think I need to attempt to make myself that hat...unless some kind soul wanted to take pity on this knittedly challenged baroness and make me one ? hhehehe ;)
Tat's such a great idea. I definitely love the second one best - both combos look great but the green and peach is so striking!

Actually, I think peach suits you so well! I myself have troubles with pastel colors, as Coco Chanel said; why would any woman want to look as a cake :), but if mixed with other tones, they can really look nice.
ReplyDeleteFor ex, this peach top I'd pair it with a chocolate brown skirt. Maybe it's too conventional, but I like it.
Baroness, you're one and only in aaaaaaaall blogland.
