Season of the Brides to Be

June may be the traditional month for weddings, but December and February seem to be the times when many engagements take place! Sooo, I'm trying to stock more vintage wedding dresses and accessories in the shop in the near future.  My favourite forthcoming garment is this ivory 1930s satin-lined moire taffeta gown! I am absolutely in love with the deco shaping at the shoulders, the high pointed seaming under the bustline. Swooon!  Braided satin headband and 20s/30s satin shoes are all for sale, so feel free to drop me a line via the shop if you are interested!

Gorgeous! So much prettier (and more unique) than something from David's Bridal.

This is the first thing I've seen today having just switched on my laptop - thank you for starting my day so beautifully. You look AMAZING! I think you should keep the frock and go and renew your vows or something - once a week!

Ohh I have been dreaming of a wedding dress like this, or something very edwardian inspired(:
Even though I don't think I will get married even in few years, well, still, I am a girl and I love weddings and I like to think that omg I would definitely wear that in my wedding. ;) And yes, this dress is GORGEOUS!

So lovely! Wish I had discovered vintage before I got married!

Stephanie Lynn: DITTO!! I think of that all the time. I wore some vintage accessories, but should have held out for a dress like this! If only it fit me properly, I'd keep it, Mrs. Exeter and I'd consider your idea, Art Deco Dame ;)

Sara, LandGirl, Em, Lauren, Curvy Kitty: Thanks! Some bride is going to look glorious!

Penny Dreadful: please do!

Gosh that is gorgeous, I'd love a 1930s dress or at least an influenced one for my wedding, I could never picture myself in a modern dress.

You look fantastic, I've just bought a 60s wedding dress today with silver lurex, unfortunately it is far too small for me to model otherwise I'd duel you.

Absolutely beautiful! I just love the treasures you found below, too. Those PJs and that chiffon gown are dreamy!

thank you! Miss Tami Lee: I WISH my wedding dress had been like this. It was right at the time, but not a dream vintage gown!
