Dreaming of a White Christmas

After a day of baking, snacking, and watching White Christmas, I'm off to see the holiday window displays at the Hudsons Bay in Downtown Toronto, even though it's not as snowy out as I had hoped.  Since my outfit (which is a bit of a departure from my usual style) will be covered up by my coat, thought I'd snap a quick indoor pic.  Not sure I'm going to bother taking night-time photos of the displays, so nicked an image of one from the 'net.

1950s white faux fur bolero: antique mall
1940s plaid dress: Dear Golden
Booties from forever ago
1940s feather quill pin: estate sale

Red and green are definitely my favourite colours during Christmas period!! I can't understand why people use pink or blue in their Christmas tree!!;)

Beautiful! I love your dress so much! My city just put up their window displays for the first time since the early 1970s. I've just been waiting for a night off of work to go and see them!

How terribly pretty - I do hope you get the snow you want soon.

thank you! I think both the dress and the trip to see the window displays shall become part of my annual Christmas traditions!

Mrs. Exeter: oh, guess what we got last night? Several inches of SNOW! Guess who had to spend an hour shovelling the walkways and drive way this morning? ME :) Guess I should be careful what I wish for!!
