I know, I know, some of you haven't even had Thanksgiving yet, but my way of staving off the November doldrums is by dreaming of the glitter and glow of the Christmas holiday season. One of my current mini-obsessions: glittery headgear. What a fun way to add a little glamour and glitz to a holiday ensemble, such as a little black vintage 20s or 30s dress, perhaps? Like twinkling stars in an inky winter sky...
Dorothy Sebastian, adding glitter to her birthday suit ;)

Carmel and Dorothy are just a bit fabulous, aren't they. I'm deciding whether or not to go to the vintage ball here in early Dec, if I do I'll be wearing my starry studded velvet evening dress!
fab! love that second picture!
Oh I've always loved Deco headbands but no matter which way I put them on they just don't work for me (darn it) though I can wear a cloche hat no problem. I shall expect something like this in your wardrobe this Christmas...
Gorgeous!
Love the first one! I'd so buy it if I had something to wear it with and somewhere to wear it.
So cute! I especially love the one on Carmel.
can't wait for your Christmas outfit post xxx
Arn't they lovely? I particularly love the "Starlette Crown" :)
Wow.
The picture of Dorothy Sebastian is very beautiful. I will probably post it on my blog. ;-)
love headbands but i didn't find the one made for me yet
I'm not sure how to wear one myself and I haven't found my perfect headband yet, either, but love the starlette crown a LOT. Dsata, that is my favourite picture of Ms. Sebastian. I think I got it from My Vintage Vogue's blog. Oops, should have linked it. ;)
Forever 21 has some really great flapper-ish head pieces right now.
I'm thinking of Christmas already, and getting very, very excited!
The starlet headband is so cute! x
Ooh, I love those headbands. Ever since I got my 'flapper bob', I've have loads of fun exploring this whole new realm of head-ornamentation, with scarves and sequin headbands. I even balanced a necklace on me 'ead one night last week! It's fun - I feel like Lorelei in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes with the tiara: "I just love finding new places to wear diamonds!"
