Vintage Mini-Haul: Some for You, Some for Me

Had a lovely time at a small little local vintage fair.  Photos from the portable camera (including me in a rather silly boudoir cap) are forthcoming once the elusive connector cord is located.  In the mean-time, here's a peek at my mini-haul of vintage patterns and accessories.  Some for you, some for me: the items in the first photo are all destined for my Etsy shop (if you collect Hollywood Patterns, I scored two of 'em, as well as a 1950s Pinafore Dress pattern, a 40s barkcloth bag in mint condition, a 40s corde purse, a wartime Stitchcraft magazine and a crocheting booklet).  The second photo is my own personal hoard, consisting of two French Mode Pratique magazines from 1929, an out of print book to do with vintage collecting and selling, 30s white gauntlet gloves with crocheted cuffs, a 30s dress pattern (which may end up in the shop), and a boxful of 30s crocheting thread and yarn. okeee, must get back to last day of family visiting (and gorging on baked goods).  Watch for a huge shop update soon (see Adeline's Attic Vintage blog for sneak peek).

off topic: none of the comments i've left you on the last few posts seem to show on the blog - did any of it reach you at all?

That bark cloth bag is lovely1 And Terry McCormick's book - It was my bible back in the late 80's when I had my vintage clothing shop (now I just buy for myself and my teenage daughter). I was lucky enough to get mine "new" way back when, and Terry even personalized it for me :) Lots of great info in there!

Ladies, this is definitely a learning site! thank you! I've rushed to buy the McCormick's book.
Another book I've googled is "Reference book of women's vintage clothing, 1930-1939", by Kathleen Mabel La Barre, Kay D. La Barre. The title is so appealing.
Dear Baroness, have you heard of it/ own it? Is it worth it, girls?

Ooh, thanks for that title, too, Laos. Must look into that one further, as well!
