Fabulous Fudge-y Fall Foliage Frocks

Clearly, rich dark fudge-y chocolate brown rayon dresses were very much a la mode in the 30s.  I love the fall foliage-themed patterns and dramatic neckline details (such as bows) that were often paired with them.  Examples for sale on Etsy right now (excuse me as I twice give my shop a little shameless plug..well, sorta.  The first dress I bought from Fab Gabs for myself but it has never quite fit me properly so now it's in my shop).

I love that dark, chocolatey brown color. I always add just a splash of cream to my coffee in the morning so that it looks just like that!

You have a right to put in shameless plug for your etsy shop. I just took a peek - what lovely dresses! You've been busy!

Mmm....
I just cut out a frock last night with brown undertones. I was just thinking last night how the color brown is *so* 30s. You're a mind reader!

i have to say i've been watching that third dress now for quite a while wondering if it would fit me or be too big, the print is to die for, and my colors too...and i noticed that chocolate beauty in your shop too, what a wonderful shape!

Wearing History: we must be on the same fashion wavelength!!

garofit: It's a stretch crepe, but at its minimum (in an unstretched state) I recall it is a petite frock, with quite narrow shoulders. Wanna convo me via the etsy shop re: your measurements and I could double check the measurements of that dress? I could give you a more precise sense of whether it would fit or not? No pressure of course!
