Crumbled and Tumbl'd

As per usual, I have crumbled under peer pressure and joined Tumblr.  I'm at http://adelinesattic.tumblr.com/

Speaking of crumbling (and tumbl'ing), this beautiful 30s fashion photograph just bowled me over when I first saw it.  It just embodies EVERYTHING I love about 1930s style. I may just need to add it to my blog header.  SWOON!

I see that you did add it! Wow, that lace detail is beautiful on her dress. Love.

I'm still not sure how to work Tumblr myself, but so far I love its visual emphasis!

Starr!!! I'm utterly touched by your comment. Thank you so much

Nancy: Yes!!! I'm just trying to decide whether to temporarily remove my other girl for now or whether to have both these beauties occupying the same header...thoughts?

Haha, I caved and joined Tumblr as well. I've just been posting inspiring pictures and old vintage photos of my family.

I'll be sure to check yours out. I actually thought Tumblr would be harder to work but it's actually pleasantly simple once you get the hang of it. :)

That picture is just stunning! I noticed you added it to your header. Wow, just the whole photo is amazing.

Ooh! Have you seen Marx Brothers "A Night at the Opera"? The girl, Kitty Carlisle, really reminds me of you! She's lovely. :)

What a gorgeous dress - I love the way it drapes and flows. So pretty!

Thanks for all of the information on beavers! They can be elusive, can't they? I think we'll have to go back early in the morning or in the evening to catch them in action.

Tumblr is SO fun (a little TOO fun...not getting enough work done!).

Kir, I'll have to follow your feed, too. PS: WOW, what a compliment! Kitty Carlisle was quite the doll, so thanks very much!

Courtney: Yes, they are quite active at dawn and dusk! Good luck! Oh, I agree about the beauty of the flow and drape (and lace!) of that gown above. I could stare at that picture forever!

Ummm...now I have to find out what Tumblr is (looking sheepish).

I do LOVE that new photo though, and think it really completes your header.

Oh goodness me, Darling Homemaker, to think this positively divine photo is so "ME"? Wowee, you are too kind. I do ADORE it to bits, though.

Amanda, Dreamstress: thanks!

Dreamstress: I agree that it fills that previous blank space nicely. Since I just can't choose which of my fashionable ladies I love more, I think they're here to stay! PS: don't feel bad--I had NO clue what Tumblr was myself, until some more tech savvy friends of mine nudged me in that direction.
