Hello, Bluebird!

Thanks to Kim over at nudeedudee for introducing me to the music of Janet Klein.  You Californians are SOOOO lucky to have such amazing Art Deco events and vintage artists in such abundance!!!

Yes, we are so lucky here! I totally encourage everyone to visit LA, there really is so much to do and see. I'd be happy to show you around to all the hidden gems. We just visited the fantastic Cicada Club last Sunday and saw the lovely Miss Klein perform--she was wearing this amazing floor length blue and white chevron striped gown--we were dying over it!!!

I am SO in love with Janet Klein. I saw her when she was here for the Cabaret Festival, last year, (and met her briefly - she's a gorgeous, lovely, lady) and was blown away. I'm now pining because I can't see her as she's so far away! I think what she and her band do is great - they're keeping this magnificent music alive and clearly having a lot of fun. It's so admirable! I think I should move to LA ;] I need to get more of her albums (or, rather, I should say CDs because I don't like to buy from iTunes). Also, she's the main reason I took up ukulele! I think one of the band members that came out with her last year actually left a comment on the blog post I did on Janet. Hehe.
