Recently added to the shop: a NWOT deadstock 1930s Fruit of the Loom label navy, white, and red buttoned cotton dress. Doesn't it look like one of the mid 30s frocks featured in a 1930s "Rhapsodies in Blue" catalog image I found on Pinterest a while back?
Oh wow that dress is absolutely gorgeous :)!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty dress, and I love the magnificent hat you're wearing at that rakish angle!
ReplyDeleteI've put up my special summer post, which includes a fishtail 1930s satin evening gown made by my granny Kiki, do let me know what you think.
This is such a fantastic dress, how very pretty.
ReplyDeleteOh, I do love that!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised you want to part with such a beautiful dress!
ReplyDeleteIt really is a beauty! Alas, it is much too big for me (I clipped it quite a bit in the photo). The hat is staying with me indefinitely, though :)
ReplyDeleteThey really are strikingly similar, and all so timelessly, perfectly lovely. One just cannot go wrong with the jaunty colour palette of red, white and blue.

I still adore that hat!
