Deco Dream Scene II

How does one present one's bathroom in a creative yet delicate way on a blog?  Search me...Anyway, we're finally finished the renovation ordeal and I just cannot stay out of that room!!  Would it be weird to have all my Etsy shop photos set in there?? hehe.   I'm still deciding on a print to go on the wall behind the tub. My thought is it should be a glorious George Hoyningen-Huene.  An apothecary cabinet (white or black?) is going to go in the corner to the left of the sink and we need to add a window treatment.  Otherwise, I like the sparseness of it. Off for a marathon bubble bath...

Oh, this looks really gorgeous! Always love such simple but yet so classy designs :)

...and I totally agree with your idea: a Hoyningen-Heune print would fit perfectly to that wall!

Beautiful! I love your claw-foot tub! I wanted to put one of those in my house, but my husband dreaded taking out the cast-iron tub from 1942, I have black & white tiles in my shower too, I just love the way that looks! Amazing job!

What a beautiful room. I love the style of all the pieces, the bath particularly of course, and I really like the taps of your sink. I hope you have many tranquil hours in there.

So now all you need is a waterproof computer with wireless connection to do all your blogs from the bath!

If this is a dream, I never want to wake up. Except maybe to go to the bathroom. And then right back to sleep!

thank you!! If you can believe it, we got all the fixtures at RONA (the flooring was from a local place specializing in awesome tiles at wholesale pricing)! Our neighbour's brother helped us out with most of the renovations for a rock bottom rate! I still can't believe it's real! Believe me, I'll trying to rig up a way to blog from the tub, Miss Rayne ;)

Oh, the outfit! Top is from Mod Cloth (first non-vintage purchase in a long while); skirt is 1920s, cotton stockings are apparently Victorian or later; shoes, Chanel knockoffs from the 1990s.

That bathtub!!! *covets* I really love the black and white tile on the floor too--that is something I have been dreaming about doing one day too (once I actually own a house... haha). I love your outfit too! ;)

What a wonderful bathroom, though I'm disappointed we didn't get a picture of you dancing on the toilet.

Oh, I'm in love! Our next door neighbor just gutted their bathroom and they put in that 30s black and white tile, too, and a tub like yours and it is just fabulous. Love, love, love! Enjoy.

Just simply marvellous!

eeek... I love those stockings too!

Penny Dreadful: LOL! Believe me, I would totally try something like that, but then I had visions of slipping and cracking my head on the tub. I was going to do a Poirot style elegant corpse idea, as suggested by Mrs. Exeter, but the loo is too small. ;)

LOVE the tub! I also want your dress and shoes (but not the tights - just a bit much for me!)

thanks! Dreamstress, I had stocking regret after taking the pic. I should have followed Chanel's fashion principles more closely!
